The results surprised even us. Turns out, when it comes to shopping habits, teens are pretty frugal. They spend far more on clothes than any other type of person, aside from books. However, when it comes technology, they spend far more than any other age.
Teens also tend to be big spenders of money on mobile phones, computers and tablets. These devices were purchased by almost 2 billion dollars last year by 13-17-year-olds.
However, what is most striking is the fact that while they spend a lot for electronics, they don't spend as much on their smartphones. Apps are less than 1% in teen smartphone usage.
